Web Developer

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development technologies, a passion for coding and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Front-End Development: Develop responsive and visually appealing web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Vue.js.
  • Back-End Development: Implement server-side logic and database integration using technologies such as Node.js or PHP etc.
  • Database Management: Design and optimise database schemas, write SQL queries and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure compatibility and consistent user experience across different browsers and devices.
  • User Experience (UX) Design: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups into functional web interfaces that prioritise user experience.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of web applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Performance Optimisation: Optimise website performance for speed and efficiency, including page load times and server response times.
  • Version Control: Utilise version control systems such as Git for managing codebase and collaboration with team members.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices and industry trends in web development.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for codebase, APIs and development processes.
    • Requirements:
  • Proficient in Web Technologies: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive web design principles.
  • Programming Languages: Experience with one or more programming languages commonly used in web development, such as JavaScript (Node.js), Python, PHP or Ruby.
  • Front-End Frameworks: Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Vue.js or Angular.
  • Back-End Frameworks: Knowledge of back-end frameworks like Express.js, Django, Flask, or Laravel is a plus.
  • Database Management Systems: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free code.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
